Black Fleece, Cast Brass
Chaos Chair descends infinitely closer towards the ground, solidly and steadily, like a steep hill or a ready beast. The pure black long hair of the covering fleece is metaphoric of the chaos that blankets everything. It is vaguely shaped and subtly reflecting light. The light falls from the zenith of the rounded back to its four border corners, unimpeded. The legs and bones of the chair are made by metal casting, which we have been repeatedly experimenting in recent years, and which also demonstrates our understanding of chaos in terms of techniques. The heated brass melts and loses its shape, becoming one and everything at the same time. Liquid metal slowly cools down and takes shape while flowing along, like lava in the unfathomable depth of the earth, dynamically still.

Black Fleece, Cast Aluminum
Chaos Cabinet rose and took shape from the flowing silver metal, it creates a visual impact of anti-gravity, as if it marks the birth of something supernatural. The order of the linear cabinet structure contrasts with the disorder of the rawness of the stand. Its uneven edges resemble those of rocks and its unpredictable surface texture resulting from casting reminds people of the undulating landform. The back fleece covering it, as an odd and contrasting material, gives it a sense of strangeness. Like a ritual object set in chaos, it gives out the vibes of primordial energy.
Fleece and metal, casting and mirror techniques contrast each other and reappear repeatedly, like harmony in polyphony. Disorderly and frightening darkness, the immense power of the split of sky and earth, the rawness and richness of primordial earth, and the warmth and power of life are the intertwined and merging themes that together constitute the highly emotional (The Crack in Chaos). Thereafter, everything is born, and civilizations are to come.

The weightiness and the fine curves of the blocks that are characteristic of this collection shows the designer Chen Furong's admiration and appreciation of weight and volume, light and shadow. The clean- cut silhouettes of the long chair, the screen cabinet and the side tables appear in an organic whole with the space itself in a short glance. The architectural language of H-shaped structures, the cutouts and the rounded angles helps to make it an extension of the space itself, giving it a calming quality. Under light, the clean-cut edges are blurred by the touch of shadow, creating a lively visual effect and a quiet atmosphere. The artistic aspect of the collections is reminiscent of the geometric models in a painting for sculpture studio, and giving it an aesthetic and spiritual oneness.

Nature carves and shapes the environment without purposes, and human intervenes with tools and techniques with the human gift- aesthetics. The collection of“Geology” is our reflection and exploration on the synchrony of nature’s work and human intervention.
Using the molding technique, the touch of time and hand is reserved in the surface of the works in this collection, giving them the uniqueness that transcends industrial products, and granting them with the liveliness of sculpture.
“Geology- candle holder” is inspired by a stone waste that has been water jet cutted. As the water jet cutter reaches the thick spot, it falters for lack of pressure, leaving waves on the surface, giving the hard rock a flowing texture, like freezed ripples. The end result of an instant of the powerful water jet cutter’s work assimilates the thousands of years of weathering, reminding us the strength of time.
We created an artificial weathering effect on the surface and a natural curve that resembles Chinese calligraphy, with strength and softness. Expanded upward from the curved base, the candle holder reaches a perfect state of balance that is dynamic like the western sculpture and steady like the eastern pine trees.

The cubic pillar is a closet that hides its doors on the side, and the square block on bars a table that camouflaged its drawers. Completed with the long curvy blocks as benches, this collection takes on a good sense of humor which is understated and self-expressive.
It is an experiment that explores the expressiveness of basic elements in bringing out the temperament and character of a work. And the very abstractness offers the viewers of the work a doorway to his or her own imaginations and poetry.

Merging Tables, a set of two coffee tables, taking its shape from the unsteady posture of newborn calves, picture the moment of disorder before power and control sets in. Three cast table legs holding up an uneven table top, forms an entity that looks as if it was born directly from liquid, radiating a strong life force and reserving possibili-ties of transformations. The two pieces cross placed, feature a female-male duo or a mother-son dependence, symbolizing the continuance of life. The smooth mirror surface with an extremely sci-fi touch is the light in the collection and in chaos, breaking out from darkness and connecting all the pieces in the collection. Seen from above, it is just Like a lake on earth, the source of life.
