Pipe Beings were fueled by Pocsik’s obsession with tubes. He skillfully turns tubes into anatomical forms and also emit light. Pocsik never want the material to be the first thing people think about when looking at his works, and he almost has a disrespect towards the materials in a sense that he would approach and push various materials in a way that nobody has done before. He treats different mediums and digital approaches such as CNC or the robot only as tools to achieve the end result of forms that he desires to create. He sees himself as an artist because the most important thing in his career is to hand-carve his unconstrained ideas and imaginations into tangible art works.
